Now Gramma was a very good cook

She learnt to long ago,

Every time she opened the book

Smiles  thereabouts would show.

So she came to have a thought,

About what,was to be.

And what was to be ought

Is a book on recipe.

1902 , in Islington,London saw the birth of

Ada Adelaide Jackson.

Who, if it wasn't for her this website would never have gained

such lovely old fashioned recipes.

Can you remember the foods of our Grammas,

that in this day and age we cannot

compare to the Rich,Succulent taste bud drip flavours!

Anyhow Gramma Ada passed down her long proven recipes

To Lilian Hiscock (nee Jackson)

Who in turn,being a willing learner and teacher,

Passed them down to her daughter Elaine,

Who happens to be my adorable wife,

(whom I only married for her cooking skills)

And I  John Young, in turn will carry on

the family tradition recipes on this website.

I hope you will enjoy the food from the recipes

as much as I do.
